Back to the Bush

Back to Bush is a vibrant Indigenous-led charity committed to conserving Australia’s natural environment and empowering Indigenous communities. Their mission integrates cultural heritage preservation with sustainable environmental practices.​

Problem: The organisation’s existing website was outdated, cumbersome, and poorly structured, leading to a frustrating user experience. This negatively impacted visitor engagement, donations, and volunteer recruitment.

SCIA - Employability

Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA) runs the EmployAbility initiative, a comprehensive service supporting people with physical disabilities to find meaningful, sustainable work. The program blends tailored training, specialist coaching, inclusive recruitment, and ongoing support for both job seekers and employers.​

Problem: The original EmployAbility website posed a variety of usability obstacles, from unclear navigation to poorly presented content on key offerings. As a result, both employers and candidates found it challenging to access helpful information or make full use of available services.

The Big Issue Magazine

The Big Issue Magazine exists to empower people experiencing homelessness or disadvantage by offering legitimate income through the sale of street magazines. The focus of this UX research study is to explore how a digital edition can maintain.

 

The Big Issue’s social impact and vendor income—adapting to new reader habits, digital technologies, and consumer expectations—all while keeping vendors at the core of the model
